DIY Rustic Industrial Coffee Table

Rustic Industrial Coffee Table

Hey all, thanks for stopping by Bitterroot DIY!

For more project ideas, you can find me on Pinterest. And to stay up to date with the latest shenanigans, follow me on Instagram.

I have to be honest here: When I first made the lid for my blanket chest, I messed up the dimensions and it ended up a little small. But it was already finished and perfect and wonderful before I discovered the mistake … oops …

So I attached it to the chest anyways and just moved on with my life ……

How to Reupholster a Chair

Hey all! Things have been a little quiet around Bitterroot DIY lately due to the new addition to the family, but I’m picking it back up again this week!

A short aside: Mr. Weston Michael Sattler joined us on August 12 at 5:35pm and has completely flipped our lives upside-down. The best sort of upside-down 🙂

After recovering from the pregnancy and birth, I finally completed the dining table and chairs flip that I hinted at before Weston. So I’ve got three new posts coming your way, starting with how to reupholster a chair!…

DIY Hat Rack

Hi All!

I recently got a jigsaw and have been itching to try it out. It’s been sitting in the garage the last couple weeks while I tried to come up with a project for it, so I’m so excited I finally got to pull it out for my latest creation!

Lately, Joseph (the Mr) has been looking for some sort of rack to organize his baseball caps, and I have such a large (and growing) pile of scrap wood in the garage that I figured I could try to use some of it up.

DIY Wood Nursery Decor

When I started looking for decor for the new baby nursery, I did what anyone would do – headed to Pinterest for inspiration! There are so many adorable ideas out there, but one of my favorites was a wooden plaque with a simple quote and image. I thought about just purchasing it, but then decided I wanted to make a special one for my new little boy 🙂

And I knew exactly what to write … that never happens for me.

Wood Coaster Set

Alright, today I’m bringing to you the 15 millionth DIY wood coaster set tutorial on the interweb!!! *crazy cheers from the audience* … maybe that’s just me cheering for myself … anyways. Moving on …

Really, guys, there are a gazillion different ways to DIY coasters … I’m totally aware. But just in case you like this particular style, here’s the step-by-step 🙂 It’s a quick, fun project and can be customized to fit your needs.

DIY Wood Crate

Aren’t all those wood crate projects all over Pinterest just the cutest! You can use them for center pieces, outdoor décor, shelving (speaking of, check this out) … the list goes on. I’m not sure why I thought I’d start learning woodworking with a coffee table and then a set of stools. I guess it’s 115% or nothing at all, ya know. Anyways, I thought maybe I should take it down a notch and do a simpler, more fun project. So here we have a DIY Wood Crate – a.k.a. the new diaper holder basket to go on top of the baby dresser :)…
