15 Quick Scrap Wood Projects

Here are 15 quick scrap wood projects to get started woodworking and/or clear out that scrap pile.

Entryway Shelf and Key Organizer

I’m not sure how it happens, but I always have SO MUCH scrap wood all over my shop. Every now and then, I like to challenge myself to build as many things as possible using ONLY the lumber I already have sitting around. It’s a good exercise in reducing waste, saving money, and getting creative – all good things!

So, in the spirit of clearing out the shop, I’ve rounded up 15 great scrap wood projects to help you reduce your lumber pile!

1. Jewelry Organizer

2. Simple Entryway Shelf

3. DIY Mirror Frame

I guess this depends on how much scrap wood you have lying around (or how big the mirror is), but I know I definitely have enough to frame a few mirrors … don’t judge.

Just look how beautiful that frame is! All you need is a couple 1x4s and 1x2s. Grab the full tutorial at Living Letter Home.

4. Quick Coat Hooks
