I’m not sure how it happens, but I always have SO MUCH scrap wood all over my shop. Every now and then, I like to challenge myself to build as many things as possible using ONLY the lumber I already have sitting around. It’s a good exercise in reducing waste, saving money, and getting creative – all good things!

A classic scrap wood project, check out how to make this beautiful jewelry organizer from The Frugal Homemaker. All you need is a 2×2 and some cup hooks.
I put this simple entryway shelf key rack together on my last scrap wood clean out. It’s a quick build and uses up those smaller pieces of scrap wood (the ones that you’re not sure why you ever kept in the first place).
I guess this depends on how much scrap wood you have lying around (or how big the mirror is), but I know I definitely have enough to frame a few mirrors … don’t judge.
