If you’ve been following along for a while now, you’ve seen the kitchen remodel, turned entryway remodel, turned living room remodel. I finished up the last of the paint, trim, and caulking a little bit ago. So, over the last few weeks, I’ve been working on building all the furniture for our new space!
Where does that leave us now?
Well, so far I’ve completed:
- Dining Room Table
- Kitchen Island
- Pots & Pans Storage Pull Out
- Bar Stools
- Entryway Shelf
- Entryway Shoe Tray
AND NOWWW …
A brand new Built-In Bookshelf!

I still have a laundry list of things to build, but this bookshelf was a huge one to knock off the list. My main goal was to get it up in time to decorate for Christmas and, low-and-behold, it’s done!
It’s definitely my biggest build so far, as well as my first time making cabinet doors.
I used my favorite handles of all time (same as the kitchen cabinets) and overlay hinges from Menards.
That soft iron against the rustic brown is so perfect in the living room!
It’s back to the shop now to build the rest of the furniture and finish off the space.
